PLEASE upload any photos you can find of area graffiti. In an attempt to catch the people defacing our community and decreasing our property values I am creating an album of it all. This way people from outside our neighborhood can see, and hopefully identify the tags. As Gary Bogue mentioned, many of these taggers are kids who often leave similar tags in their classwork. Do your part in the fight for a better Wedge!
Upload photos of graffiti to SouthWedge.org. Where you are given the option to enter 'Tags' type the word 'graffiti' and I will find it and add it to the album. If you have the time, use the 'map it' option. You can zoom in to the street level and click where on the map you found that graffiti! At the next graffiti removal event I will likely demonstrate how to do this for those of you that are a little less comfortable on the computer.
This Album was built in response to Robert Lauderbach's post:
Gary---wonderful idea...I recommend instead of printing the photos...why not put the photos in a special Gallery here on SOUTHWEDGE.ORG with an area for the Art Teachers/others to comment (THE PICS COULD BE UPLOADED DAILY by anyone). Maybe the word will get out that artists will start turning in other artists...or maybe the parents will see this stuff and a bell might go off in their heads, or who knows what...but this website would be ideal to watch this idea BLOOM (get it...it is Spring Time). Ben Munson could set up a special site....Maybe?
They tagged a sign in front of my house on Sanford...so I would not have to travel far to get a Photo.
