I just started my dog walking venture. If you ever need someone to walk your pet while your away call or e-mail me. Pricing is reasonable.

Quinn my 9-year old red husky passed away today. Our last walk was Tuesday night..so he went very quickly. He died peacefully on the way to the vet. He was ill for a day with a respiratory problem. Sarah my daughter gave him to me on my birthday in 1999 or 3,346 days ago. I would guess we walked 12,000 - 15,000 miles over the years in Mendon Ponds Park and the South Wedge.

Andy, our son said this: Quinn was kind of like an Eagle Scout. He lived his life similar to the values of a Scout: Trustworthy, loyal, helpful, Friendly, courteous, kind, obedient ( obedient is somewhat questionable at times) Cheerful and Brave.

And our daughter Sarah said this...He was a great friend and could always no matter what make you smile; two qualities that make up the perfect companion.
Here's to Quinn, Quinnerator, Senor Quinster, Mr. Bigglesworth, the Quinnster, Quinnie and last but not least, Mr. Quinn.

Hi everybody, just moved into the wedge, and my buddy Vincent the Husky is coming with us. He's a fairly large dog at 60 pounds or so, and loves to walk and run and socialize, but anyway, a dog park in this area seems almost too obvious to not have been done already.

Robert, my condolences for your loss. Having been an Eagle Scout myself I agree that dogs are as good as those who attain that rank.

Hi All! I am so happy I found this group. I have a facebook southwedge dogs group I started months ago, I believe there is only 1 other member besides myself! ha..Oh well. I have 4 dogs..
Is there anyone out there interested in starting a play group in the area? We could meet at Highland park. I was also looking to start a Pitt exercise group, maybe pulling? My vet suggested it. Thanks!

Hi Kelly.

A lot of dog owners go to Ellison Park- its not officially a dog park so off-leash can get you a ticket, but today there were around 20 dogs there.

I'd actually like to find people who want to do small indoor playgroups when the weather is too bad to go out. Which seems to happen a lot in Rochester. :P

I recently got back from Kansas City where they have several dog parks. The one I saw was several acres...where you could not hit the fence when you launched a tennis ball. The park was surrounded by a fence. and had wood mulch instead of grass. How much could that could? Rochester is so backwards. Both of our dogs died during the past six months (but they loved the Highland Park Saturday morning events), so have not been doing my walks like before. Here are a photo of the kc dog park
